VOLUNTEERS

There are many different ways to volunteer your time and your skills at our company, whether it's for an hour a day, a day or 2 a week – whatever works for you.
 
Volunteering can be an important step towards paid employment.   It provides essential skills and experience that can then be added to your CV and application form.
 
We also have a team of Employment Advisors for Deaf people, whom we can refer you to assist you in writing your CV and/or application form and aid in looking for employment.
 
We are presently looking for an:
 
1.  Book-keeper/administrator
  • To provide general administrative support to the Manager
  • Support with the collation of data
  • Organise filing and record-keeping
  • Working closely with the management team.

Knowledge of Google Documents, Sheets and would be an advantage, plus being well organised and able to prioritise tasks.  See some key skills and abilities required below:
2.  Experienced Administrator

Experienced administrator duties will include, devising/maintaining office systems, including data management and filing   

organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments

dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the manager that company databases are functional at all times, backing them up in the event of memory loss and maintaining adherence to a data management policy. 

 

For both of these posts you need to have these:  Key Skills & Abilities

 

To be suitable for both these positions, you must have excellent time management, organisational skills, accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. These are key areas if you are to succeed in this role.

 

You must also be comfortable with and can work alone and also as an integral part of a team. You should have the ability to use your own initiative, work flexibly and under pressure to deadlines, as this can be a demanding role.

 

You will be able to evidence your previous administrative experience and the ability to liaise with people at all levels while creating and maintaining good working relations.  You will be working closely with the management team, so you would need to be trustworthy, discretion and able to maintain confidentiality are essential qualities and attributes to these jobs.
